What's the difference between a BJJ shirt and a regular t-shirt?

BJJ shirts are designed for grapplers — they feature designs, phrases, and inside jokes that resonate with the jiu jitsu community. The fabric is often heavier ring-spun cotton or cotton-poly blends that hold up to constant washing after training.

Can I train in a BJJ shirt?

For no-gi drilling and casual rolling, yes. For serious training, you'll want a proper rash guard — cotton t-shirts stretch out fast under gi grips and get destroyed on the mats.

What size should I order?

XMartial shirts run true to size. If you're between sizes and prefer a fitted look, size down. For a relaxed fit, order your normal size. See our size chart for exact measurements.

Are these shirts pre-shrunk?

Yes. Our cotton blends are pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage after the first wash. Wash cold, tumble dry low to maximize longevity.

What's the difference between BJJ shirts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu shirts?

Nothing — the terms are used interchangeably. BJJ is short for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our collection uses both terms because that's how customers search for them.

Are the prints durable?

Yes. We use screen printing and DTG (direct-to-garment) printing depending on the design. Both hold up well through 50+ washes when washed inside-out in cold water.
